Hello loyal follower(s)
We just had a great weekend at  our cabin with our son Michael, his partner Stephanie,  along with two of Michael’s children Christine 14 and Blake 11.  There were many neat pictures,  But first the misadventure part of this blog.  Our friend Dick Warnick from St George provided me with a great recipe for waffles (see last blog).  When Mike and Stephanie were at the cabin on July 4, I made waffles  with the great recipe but a lousy waffle maker.   This time, with a new waffle maker I again made waffles, but I left out  the key ingredient Corn Meal until I had made two waffles.  After correcting this error the  rest were good.  So much for the goof for this blog, now back the  “family” weekend at the cabin.

Michael and his son Blake are getting ready to take on the fish in the lake.  The temperature was between 85 and 90℉ with a little more than average humidity for Minnesota.

The crew was ready to fish until they drop.  Christine is in the bow, then Blake and Mike the fishing instructor.

Christine and Stephanie with one of many bass that they caught during the weekend.  Results: two fish meals plus Cyndy and I had another fish meal Sunday evening after the crew headed back to Prior Lake,

There probably are few bass left in the lake after the weekend.  They all had great fun and luck.

How many fourteen year old girls do you know who can fillet fish?  She did an excellent job and filleted many fish.

She really was good at this and she just learned how to fillet this weekend.

It was time to play.  The board was part of a wind surfing outfit.

  Even Michael got some fish.

Not to be outdone, Stephanie caught this large size bass.  They caught some real large bass but released them because according to Michael they are not as tasty.

This bass was caught while Christine was in the bay fishing off the windsurfing board.   Cyndy (my wife) was helping Christine with the fish.

Together it was a great weekend for all of us.  Between playing in the water on the surfer board, canoeing , and just plan swimming every one slept well at night.
I have to go to the library in Brainerd to do this blog therefore  there will be several days between blogs.
À bientôt,
Mr Nut
