Attempt at making large 15" pizzas

Hello loyal follower(s)

Yesterday was a little challenging for me,  I made pizza for six of our St George friends.  Instead of two nine inch pizzas for four, I made two fifteen inch pizzas for eight.

All three of these men are real cowboys, and they loved ranching when they were younger.  Cyndy and I have learned much about the life on a ranch, from the man at the right.

Anyway, back to the pizzas.  Two fifteen inch pizzas is the same as six of the "regular" nine inch sizes that I normally make.

This is one of the two pizzas.  I would not have tried such a large pizza, except with aide of Parchment Paper any size that would fit on my peal would work.

As you can see, I made a lot of sauce, in fact, too much, but I used it all anyway.  The problem was there was too much weight on the crust, it was impossible to lift up a piece to eat it.

Each pizza must of weighed at least five pounds and required a lot of strength to get it from the peal to the oven.

From now on I will limit the depth of the sauce to about one/half inch.  Then it should be possible to  eat pizza the way "God" intended--- with your hands.

Monday the eleventh of June we leave for California for Susan's wedding and a doctor appointment for me relative to my back.

In the final analysis my back surgery was a complete success.

À bientôt,
