Two new misadventures-Diabetes and Degenerate Disk Disease

Hello loyal follower(s)
It has been a long time since the last blog.  For Mr Nut and his wife, Cyndy it was another month from hell.  Mr Nuts weight continued to drop a little each day, but none of the medical staff seemed concerned.  One of medical technicians said that rapid weight loss was associated only with juvenile diabetes. He was wrong. There was also increased urination and constant thirst.  After losing 26 pound it was time to act.  Sept 18 with a weight of only 154.6 pounds and needing assistance to walk Mr Nut made his second appearance at an Emergency  Room to get help with what we knew was Diabetes.

This time it was the regional hospital at St George, UT.

With an official diagnosis of Diabetes, it was possible to get medical help to treat this second major problem.

Mr Nut was a  very sick man with a blood sugar of 688 ( should be less than 100).

Think of a one pound package of hamburger.  Now imagine twenty-six of these packages and you would have the amount of muscle that Mr Nut lost in just a few weeks.   Diabetes seems to take only the muscle since all the belly fat was still in place on good old Mr Nut.

Mr Nut with his buddy that went with him everywhere.
Mr Nut still takes two pain pill each day, which means his thinking ability and energy level is very limited. But at least now he can sit down for about five minutes at a time.

After four days in the hospital Mr Nut returned home to deal with both Diabetes and Degenerate Disk Disease.

Tomorrow, Mr Nut returns to the pain clinic for his second injection for pain from his ruptured disk.
Relative to the Diabetes,  Mr Nut found that giving himself insulin shot painless.

À bientôt,

Mr Nut
